This is a picture taken on one of our first days here. What strikes me about this picture besides looking like a pumpkin headed dweed and realizing that I have already lost that comfy hoodie I am wearing under my jacket is how long ago this moment seems and how extremley fortunate I have been on this trip to be able to go and go with a best friend! I can already tell that it has gotten warmer since that picture was taken or maybe I am just adjusting more- either way...everything is looking up.

You and Maggie are so lucky to have each other. This is a beautiful photo of the two of you. She is a good friend -- it's nice to have someone who can pull you up when you're down. And I know you do the same for her. Love, Ma.
